About Mount of Olives
Vicar Priscilla Austin (M.Div Intern) comes to us from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. She rejoices in the gifts of learning that Mount of Olives provides for her during this, her internship year. Prior to attending seminary, Priscilla was a teacher and theater professional bringing to her ministry 20 years of experience as an educator, administrator and creative artist. With her husband and three children, Priscilla is grateful to God for the community of faith here at “The Mount” and looks forward to continuing to grow in those relationships.
A Little History…
Mount of Olives was built on a cotton field over 50 years ago. Today we sew that cotton into “Quilts of Love” that are distributed to the less fortunate, near and far.
